How to be prepared for your first class of Ninjutsu?

Hello again people!... Annie, sorry for confusing you but yes, Ninjutsu is also called Budo Taijutsu and actually before doing that entry, I did not know that Ninjutsu has also that name as a martial art. Well, today I will talk about how to be prepared for a class of Ninjutsu.

First… you need very comfortable clothes because you are going to sweat (and a lot, believe me) due to a lot of exercise. Exercising is great because it helps you to develop your condition as ninja, but during your first week of training, you will feel the pain in all your body. Actually, even though Ninjutsu classes are practiced 3 times every week (2 hours per day), the muscle pain of the first week is unbearable. This condition will decrease gradually while you continue with your training so don’t worry and take some pills for the pain (they help A LOT).

Second… you will also need a bottle of water while you train. Believe me, when you are training, practicing a technique or something, you will feel thirsty and it is very important to stay hydrated in order to do the techniques correctly. With a liter of water per session you will be fine, unless you drink normally more than a liter of water per day.

Finally, you need to be very constant, no absences to your training, try to improve on your techniques, practice with other students that go to the training, talk with your sensei in order to know in which techniques you should improve and have the goal in your mind that you can learn how to be an excellent ninja.

This is all for today, I didn’t use other sources because I experienced all of this information that I am communicating to you. I hope that you liked the post, see you next week.

  1. Hey Ray! This post made me remember my classes of tae kwon do. I actually enjoyed those classes, as classes of ninjutsu, there were three days per week but, only one hour a day. I guess ninjutsu classes are very tired. When I had my first tae kwon do class my mother the master told my mother that I could go the next one so I can be prepared. I refused to that and I decided to take the class at that moment. Please Ray, notice that I had around five or six years old and I wanted to train a martial art! I still don’t believe it. Anyway I put a lot of effort to that class; I remember that I liked it so much that I wanted to train the other day. My mother always says to me that I have always been a sports person, now I can see why. Well I just wanted to tell you this story. About your recommendations, I completely agree. Every martial art has its difficulties, and if you want to train well you need to do all your effort to follow the instructions of your master. Here is where your recommendations come, while you are following your master’s orders, you will sweat a lot. So, whenever it is time for resting, drink water. Well, I think that is the most important recommendation while you are in class. I will be looking at your blog for your next post, see you Ray!

  2. Hi, i liked what you commented on your post, XD
it is just so true, that you must always train in any martiel art. when i was in kendo i remember that also my first class i thought was really light, but then, the next day i could barely move from bed, everypart of my body was in pain, except the hair on my head, xD. how beautiful moments :')
anyway, i'd wanted to practice ninjutsu, but my parents will definitely against it, and also IB doesn't give you much time, except, obviously, if you are prepared to not sleep.

    thanks, for the information.
    GBU
